He spent most of his professional life as a 'Faculty Member' at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University Hospital Eye Clinic, and for a period (2001-2011) he served as 'Chief of Eye Clinic' at Atatürk Training and Research Hospital in the same city.
He trained hundreds of ophthalmologists in these two major teaching hospitals, performed many different treatments, surgeries and scientific studies and achieved many professional firsts. He received the equivalent of ophthalmology specialty in France with a one-year education at the University of Paris VII. He also spent a period of time in New Orleans 'LSU Eye Clinic' in the United States for observation and studies.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Maden, who ended his academic life at Dokuz Eylül University early in 2019 at his own request, came to Antalya, after working for a short time in Memorial Health Group, he joined Dünyagöz Hospitals group and served in Baku (Azerbaijan) and Antalya Hospitals of this group for a while.
After the pandemic, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Maden returned to Izmir and is currently serving in "Private Atagöz Medical Center". Prof. Dr. A. Maden speaks fluent English and French.
